Covid19 latest - 20th March

March 20, 2020

IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO CALL IN THIS WEEKEND - READ CAREFULLY

Please bear with us trying to navigate through this incredibly challenging situation we are all in, like many others we are working hard to do the right thing and make decisions in a rapidly changing environment. As a small business, we are trying hard to make the right decisions for you our customers, our staff, our family, our community both near and far.  We have considered request from you our customers to stay open and importantly the latest announcements from government - as of midnight Friday 20th March this is where we are at:

We are open but with a number of significant changes in our operating procedures to reduce the risk to both visitors and staff a like.

Obviously, but we are going to say it here… If you are showing any of the recognised symptoms of Coronavirus or have been in contact with anyone who has had or is showing those symptoms please stay away!

Maintain Social Distancing at all times, respect others and our staff who will be maintaining this new norm.

Personal hygiene is imperative, wash your hands on arrival either in our washroom or with hand gel when/if we can get some!

Cafe; We are operating a takeaway service only from our cafe, if it gets busy we will engage a virtual queuing system to ensure social distancing.  If you’ve visited us before then the new norm is going to be different…  Same great service, same faces, same great cake and coffee! Just a different way of going about things.

Only the cafe door out on to the front will be in operation whilst we adjust to our new operation.

Payments; It would make us all so much more at ease if everyone could pay contactless card/applepay etc. Not always possible we know, if you’re not that way inclined best get used to it quick!

Bike Hire is available - We’ve set up an operating procedure that allows us to ensure minimal fuss, minimal contact and allows us to operate safely. Please check out the bike hire page for details.

Bike Shop will remain open but access will be restricted due to available space, before entering take a look in, be patient and considerate to fellow customers and staff.

Bike Workshop/Servicing will remain available, please call us prior to bringing a bike in to discuss work required.  When dropping bikes off for repair staff will guide you to the drop off zone where you’ll be asked to hang your bike ready for a clean and sanitise. Payment is preferred either by card or online bank transfer.

When out riding be it on road or off road, at this time ride well within your capabilities, minimise risks so as to avoid falls and not be a drain on our emergency services.

Our accommodation is closed until further notice.

Please be kind to our staff if they ask for your patience or to follow our new procedures. We are all in this together and they are trying their best to ensure everyones well being.

Above all, be sensible and respect the wellbeing of others and society in general. Come and enjoy the fresh air and the ability to ‘get away from it all’ in the open space of the Yorkshire Dales National Park which is well and truly OPEN!

We will be regularly reviewing this rapidly changing situation and will respond in a considered manor.

We wish everyone well and very much look forward to safely seeing our way through.
