Travel & Parking

You couldn’t plan a better location. We’re in a tiny village called Fremington, just half a mile east of Reeth, another picture postcard location on the B6270.

By road

The A1M is just 20 minutes away. From the ‘A1M’ head for Richmond. Then take A6108 signposted ‘Reeth’. After a few miles take the B6270 towards Reeth. Once through the village of Grinton, Dales Bike Centre is on your left at the end of a row of tall trees. If you pass the Fremington village sign you’ve just passed us!

By rail

The nearest main line rail station is Darlington which is just 25 miles away. Fast frequent trains link Darlington with London, Edinburgh, Glasgow,
Aberdeen, Birmingham, Manchester, York, Leeds, Bristol etc.
For rail timetables and advance discount fares see www.nationalexpresseastcoast.com or www.thetrainline.com for competitive fares

Most trains accept bikes but need booking in advance. Ask your rail operating company for details.

From Darlington by public transport to Dales Bike Centre see ‘by bus’.

By Bus

From Darlington you need to travel to Richmond
via the X26 & X27 bus leaving Darlington every 15 minutes (timetable)

Then:-

From Richmond to Reeth (Fremington) – via the No.30 Little Red Bus service (timetable). The bus stop is 100 metres from Dales Bike Centre.

Parking

We don’t have a vast car park here, we have a limit of 11 cars. We encourage people to car share.

  • One bike one vehicle – not very green
  • Two bikes one vehicle – much better
  • Three bikes one vehicle – How ace is that, Very green

If the car park is full you can always head up the road ½ mile and park in Reeth but do call in.
